I chose this piece because it is very fun to perform and allows me to act while I sing. I like that the lyrics are both dark and funny, and I enjoy playing a strong and determined character like Morticia. A challenge that I faced, especially when I started learning it, is keeping the rhythm and timing clear, Patti during the spoken parts. Another challenge is being able to stay in character while also focusing on stage presence and the singing.
